Brad Pitt seeks joint custody in response to Angelina Jolie divorce petition

Fifty-two-year-old actor and producer Brad Pitt filed his response on Friday, November 4 to 41-year-old actress, film maker, and humanitarian Angelina Jolie-Pitt’s divorce filing back on September 19, which sought for sole custody of their six children. The children named in this filing are 15-year-old Maddox Chivan, 12-year-old Pax Thien, 11-year-old Zahara Marley, 10-year-old Shiloh Nouvel, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon.

Pitt filed for joint custody of the children and cited irreconcilable differences as a reason for their divorce.

Jolie allegedly filed for divorce from Pitt, after more than 10 years of being in a relationship, when he got into an alleged physical confrontation with their eldest, Maddox, during a trip in a private plane from France to the United States in September.

Wife of drug possession suspect arrested

Heather Marie Lanier, 38, was taken into custody by the Lubbock Police Department on charges of criminal conspiracy, causing her three children to enter into the custody of the state.

Three arrests aside from Heather Lanier’s happened on Thursday, October 27 after the United States Drug Enforcement Agency raided two houses with evidence of the powerful narcotic Fentanyl. 36-year-old Sidney Caleb Lanier, 28-year-old Jessica Christina Holl, and 32-year-old Jamie Marie Robertson were arrested as well because the three “did knowingly and intentionally combine, conspire, confederate, and agree with each other and with persons known and unknown to knowingly and intentionally distribute and possess with intent to distribute a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance,” according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

Paperwork filed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services showed that three children were taken into Child Protective Services custody from the Lanier residence. Heather Lanier admitted she knew her husband “was making his own pain medications.”

10 Rembis children taken by the state of Texas after alleged neglect

A neighbor of 48-year-old William and 36-year-old Claire Rembis in Lubbock said in a hearing during the second week of September that “shrieks of terror” persisted from the couple’s home. At this point, 10 of the couple’s 11 children were taken into state custody.

William and Claire Rembis have faced child welfare investigations in at least three states since 2001. Claire Rembis said some of the allegations the state levied against them are not true, telling The Associated Press outside the courtroom in Lubbock that our children “don’t eat out of the trash.” Texas Department of Family and Protective Services spokesman Paul Zimmerman said the couple disclosed their past addresses to Texas officials, which is why they were able to track their former issues in other states. Timothy Turner, who worked for state welfare agencies in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas said finding them was “very tedious and piecemeal.”
